Before you come in
What should I know before a first visit?
Arrive about five minutes early, wear something easy to change out of, and tell the therapist where it hurts and how much pressure you want. Sessions here run from 30 minutes to 150 minutes, so the first decision is how long you want rather than which room — every treatment room has the same extra-wide table and its own air purifier.
A first visit runs in four steps:
- Pick a session from the services menu — Deep Tissue Massage opens the menu at $45 for 30 minutes — then book on Square, or call.
- Arrive a few minutes early. That leaves time to settle in before the clock on the session starts.
- Name the areas you want worked on and the pressure you like — light, medium or deep. The therapist adjusts from there, and you can ask for a change mid-session.
- No appointment? Walk in. If a room is open we will take you, and with the studio running until 9 PM an evening session after work is realistic rather than a weekend-only wish.
New to massage generally? The NIH's things to know about massage therapy sets out what the practice is used for and which questions are worth asking a therapist before booking anywhere; our own guide to choosing a therapist covers the same ground for this side of the county.
If this is your first time on a table at all, the same agency notes that massage therapy appears to carry few serious risks when a trained practitioner performs it, and that reports of serious injury are rare. Tell us about medication, recent surgery or a pregnancy when you book, and the session is planned around it.
Directions
Directions to our Daly City studio
Aim for the Mission Street corridor in Top of the Hill and look for the lit sign in the photograph below. Take I-280 if you are coming off a freeway, BART if you would rather not park at all, and the 14 Mission if you are already somewhere on Mission Street.
- By car. I-280's John Daly Boulevard interchange is west of us, under a mile away. Highway 1 meets I-280 in Daly City just west of Top of the Hill — the road over the hill to Pacifica, about six miles south-southwest.
- By BART. Daly City BART sits about half a mile west-southwest at 500 John Daly Blvd, usually a 10 to 15 minute walk, so a massage near Daly City BART is a stroll rather than a second trip. The station has roughly 2,000 park-and-ride spaces.
- By bus. The Muni 14 Mission trolleybus runs along Mission Street outside the door and operates 24 hours; the 14R Mission Rapid also runs to Daly City BART. SamTrans routes converge at the BART station and at Mission and John Daly.
- Parking. Metered street parking on Mission Street, free on Sundays and holidays, with residential side streets a block off the corridor. Check the posted signs.
Daly City counted 104,901 residents at the 2020 census, and most people booking a massage in Daly City arrive from a few minutes away — Westlake and Broadmoor about a mile and a half out, Colma roughly two miles south, Serramonte Center about two and a half. The Excelsior is a mile and a half to two miles northeast, and Brisbane about three miles southeast.

Coming from a neighbouring city
Mission Street runs straight through Top of the Hill, so most of our neighbours reach us without touching a freeway. Each page below covers the route in from that town and the treatments people there book most often.

Good to know
Visiting questions, answered
Where do I park?
Metered street parking on Mission Street, free on Sundays and holidays, with residential side streets a block off the corridor. Daly City's own parking page puts the meters at $1 per hour, Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 6 PM. Check the posted signs on your block — there is no lot or garage attached to the studio.
Can I get here on BART or Muni?
Yes. Daly City BART is about half a mile west-southwest at 500 John Daly Blvd, usually a 10 to 15 minute walk, with roughly 2,000 park-and-ride spaces if you would rather leave the car there. The Muni 14 Mission runs along Mission Street outside the door and operates 24 hours; the 14R Mission Rapid also runs to Daly City BART. SamTrans routes converge at the BART station and at Mission and John Daly.
Do you take walk-ins, or do I need an appointment?
Walk-ins are welcome whenever a room and a therapist are free. Appointments come first, so booking on Square or calling (415) 916-3282 is the surest way to get the exact time you want — but we are open until 9 PM every day, and there is often something the same evening.
What happens on a first visit?
You pick a treatment and a length, say where you want the work and how much pressure you like, and the therapist builds the hour around that. Nobody will talk you into a longer session at the table. Sessions run from 30 minutes to 150 minutes, and all 29 bookable treatments show their durations and prices on the services page.
What should I bring?
Nothing. Fresh linens and towels are provided for every guest, and every treatment room runs its own Levoit air purifier. Wear something easy to change out of, leave valuables at home where you can, and tell us when you book if you would rather we use unscented oil.
Is gratuity included in the price?
No — the menu price covers the treatment itself. A tip is optional and entirely up to you, in cash or when you pay at the studio.
Are you in Daly City or San Francisco?
Daly City. We are at 6175 Mission St in the Top of the Hill district, on the Mission Street corridor just inside the Daly City line. The Excelsior sits roughly a mile and a half to two miles northeast, which is why the neighbourhood reads as the city edge on a map — but the studio, the parking rules and the bus stop outside are all Daly City.
